There was mud flying every where once we drove off the metal track. We were slipping and sliding because the track was so muddy. Darren was following us on his Cavallo 125 and there was mud flying off his back wheel in every direction.

When we were near ford we stopped to look at a large old volcanic fossil rock. The next place we reached was the FORD!

Dad hopped off the four wheeler and had a look at the track because our trailer is larger and heavier than every one elses. Mr Woodruff was the first person to go across the ford with Mrs Woodruff pushing him with her four wheeler.

Dad came down the track. Ching ching into first gear and then Dad roared into the ford. Ching ching into second gear.
Dad was revving the bike so hard it sounded like a 2 stroke because he didn’t want to get stuck.

I thought than going down the track to the DOC hut was fun because I got covered in mud.

"The Mud Slide"

I raced around the side of the lake to the mud slide. I was about the tenth person there but we were not allowed to walk up the steps because there were no instructors around. Finally the instructors came over to the mud slide and we were allowed to start walking up the steps.

People started racing down the mud slide. As I approached the top of the steps I became wetter and wetter because Lara was squirting us with the hose.

Finally it was my turn. Lara squirted my back with the hose and gave me some dishwashing liquid to rub on my backside. I jumped on to the slide and away I went. Plop! Into the mud! The mud felt all slimy with the dishwashing liquid mixed into it.

I climbed out of the mud pit and dived into the lake to wash the mud off me. I thought that the mud slide was fun because I came out of the mud pit covered in mud.

Hi my name is Daniel.
